One Hour - Year Round

Welcome to the oldest yoga studio in the world! Encased in stone and protected from the elements, the heat and calm Caribbean blue water in the Homestead Crater make it possible to do Paddleboard Yoga year round. This is yoga with a splash and you will end up in the 95-degree therapeutic mineral water. Featured on the Travel Channel, New York Times, and Men's Journal (to name a few), you can't do Paddleboard Yoga anywhere else in the world in a 10,000 year old crater.

All trips are by reservation only. We will try to fill all sessions wit ten participants.

Your guide needs 10-15 minutes to set up/tear down. An hour is booked in the Crater for your session.

What to wear?

  • There is a changing room at the hot spring, but no shower.
  • Wear something you don’t mind getting wet in like a bathing suit or shorts and a sports bra.
  • Bring a towel and a change of clothes.
  • The crater is covered in the winter, however if it is a really cold day, the air temperature in the crater can be 60-65 degrees. Some guests like to bring a rash guard or long sleeve synthetic shirt and yoga leggings to wear in the winter. The water temp is 95-98 degrees year round and we do a lot of poses that involve getting in the water to keep you warm.

What to expect?

  • We will tailor the experience to the ability of the group as best we can.
  • Expect a work out and a challenge for your balance.
  • Have fun and know that doing yoga on a paddleboard is immediate feedback for your alignment in the yoga pose - even experienced yogis will be challenged.
  • The water is 65 feet deep. We attach you to the board with a leash around your ankle. If you can not swim or have a fear of water, we do have life jackets available for you.

1.5 Hour Hike + 1 Hour Paddleboard Yoga

Get ready to awaken your senses! Hike either at sunrise or at night through the forest along a winding stream, then splash into the steamy warm mineral water of the Homestead Crater with an hour of Paddleboard Yoga. Don't worry - it's lit for night sessions.

  • You will need transportation from the trail to the crater - a taxi does not work for this trip, you need your own vehicle.
